My Story: Part of why I decided to build my own practice was because I wanted to help people in a more holistic way. I was tired of being told "Those programs can't be successful here," or feeling the pressure to do things like “other good therapists”. I wanted to be ME and I also didn’t want to have two jobs to pay the light bill! I knew it was time to embark on my own journey of building a practice that would allow me to provide the help my clients so desperately needed in a more impactful way.
It was a difficult decision, but I knew that I was meant to do more than what was "typical."
I made the leap and built my own business.
I REFUSED to take on tasks without assessing the opportunity costs in this business because the opportunities my practice had the potential to steal from my kids were just as great as the ones it could potentially provide.
I had to learn to look myself in the face when I became overwhelmed and assess if I was doing things I wasn’t passionate or good at…and if I was, I was usually wasting time!
Whether you are just started your practice as a therapist or you've been at it for years, we all have one thing in common….We chose this profession so we could help people!
I am so excited that you are here because my goal is to help you help others in a way that makes a difference for your clients AND enriches your life along the way. I learned through my own struggles and experiences how to make running the "business" a secondary part of my role and not the primary focus. This has allowed me to provide better care to my clients and focus more on the parts of the job that bring me the most fulfillment.
